Water Quality Testing

Water Quality Testing
(Springfield MA & CT)

We understand the importance of having access to clean, safe drinking water, which is why we follow established testing protocols and guidelines to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our results. We work with a local trusted lab to provide you with a detailed report outlining any findings and explaining what they mean in terms of potential health risks.

We offer several water test packages:

STANDARD Water Package – This test includes Water Potability, Lead, Radon

FULL Water Package – This test includes Water Potability, Lead, radon, Arsenic, Uranium

*Individual water tests are also available

Types of Water Tests

Potability - A water potability test is a laboratory analysis that evaluates the quality of drinking water. It involves assessing physical characteristics, conducting chemical analysis for substances like pH, iron, sulfate, and microbiological tests to detect harmful bacteria and parasites. The results determine if the water meets safety standards. If parameters exceed limits, remedial actions may be recommended to ensure the water is safe for consumption.

Lead - A first draw lead test measures the level of lead contamination in stagnant water from a tap. This test specifically focuses on assessing lead levels, as lead can leach into water from plumbing materials, particularly older pipes and fixtures. The results help determine if the water source has elevated lead levels and if mitigation measures are necessary to ensure the safety of drinking water.

Radon Water - A radon-water test is conducted to measure the level of radon gas present in drinking water. This test specifically focuses on assessing radon levels, as radon can dissolve into water from underground sources. The results help determine if the water source has elevated radon levels and if mitigation measures are necessary.

Arsenic & Uranium - This water test is conducted to measure the levels of arsenic and uranium contamination in drinking water. This test assesses the presence of both substances, as they can naturally occur in groundwater and pose health risks when consumed.

V.O.C.’s - A VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) water test is conducted to measure the levels of contamination in drinking water. This test focuses on assessing the presence of various organic compounds that can dissolve into water from industrial activities, chemicals, or environmental pollutants.

EDB - An EBD (Endocrine-Disrupting Compounds)  water test measures the levels of compounds in drinking water that can interfere with hormonal systems and cause adverse health effects. These compounds can originate from various sources such as industrial chemicals, pesticides (such as tobacco), pharmaceuticals, and personal care products.

Private well

What's in Your Drinking Water

It is recommended that private well owners have their water tested at least once a year for bacteria, nitrates, and other contaminants that may be present in their local area. This is particularly important in areas with high agricultural or industrial activity, as well as those with a history of groundwater contamination. If you are purchasing a home using a federal backed loan, well water testing is usually required.

Don't take chances with your health. Have us test your well water and ensure that your drinking water is safe and healthy for you and your family.
